Biography

Andre Fontana is a litigation attorney in BraunHagey & Borden’s San Francisco office. Andre has experience litigating antitrust, complex commercial, insurance coverage, consumer class action, securities class action, mass tort, merger, false advertising, and computer privacy disputes. He has also advised clients involved in regulatory proceedings and investigations conducted by agencies such as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice.

Andre is committed to bettering his community. In his pro bono practice, he has overturned on appeal a court order denying a restraining order to a survivor of domestic violence, and has enforced a money judgment for non-English speaking tenants in a housing dispute, among other efforts.

Andre also volunteers as a mock trial coach for the Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts, teaching trial advocacy to high school students, and volunteers as a judge for the Bay Area Urban Debate League, an organization that helps students from underserved communities sharpen their skills in critical thinking and advocacy. Andre has been a musician of over 20 years playing various musical instruments and now enjoys helping produce music for Bay Area hip-hop artists. In his free time, Andre likes to backpack, record music, and capture fun moments with friends and family with his film camera.
