Biography

Bill Campbell advises and advocates for insurance policyholders and claimants in cases involving such coverages as directors’ and officers’ liability, professional liability, employment practices liability, media liability, and general liability. He also has given hundreds of insurance coverage opinions, and he assists clients in analyzing their insurance needs, evaluating insurance products, filling gaps in coverage, and negotiating and drafting policy language to enhance their insurance protection. He has over 40 years’ experience in insurance coverage, professional liability, and a variety of other complex business cases.

Bill has written and spoken extensively on insurance-related topics for many organizations, and he has been an annual contributor to the Continuing Education of the Bar practice guide California Liability Insurance Practice: Claims and Litigation since 1990. He is a former Co-Chair of the American Bar Association Litigation Section’s Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee. 

In addition to being an experienced advocate in all forms of alternative dispute resolution, Bill serves as a judicial arbitrator appointed by the San Francisco Superior Court.

Personal

Bill is a founder of Larkin Street Youth Services, an internationally recognized nonprofit that has helped thousands of young people experiencing homelessness exit street life and equip themselves to live productive lives.
